Want to get CPHIMS certified? CPHIMS Opportunity in Williamsburg, VA
LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS THIS WEDNESDAY 10/10/07
Have you thought about taking the CPHIMS exam? The VA Chapter of HIMSS is pleased to offer a Review Course and an opportunity to take the CPHIMS Exam as a prelude to our upcoming Fall Conference Agenda, on Tuesday, October 23, and Wednesday, October 24, respectively. Why not join a small group of colleagues for an all-day Review Session, conducted by Connie Gladding, an experienced, certified CPHIMS Trainer? The setting is elegant - at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA - http://www.kingsmill.com/index.asp.
Anyone may register for the Review Course, to prepare for what lies ahead, although HIMSS has minimum eligibility standards for exam candidates. Candidates who wish to also sit for the exam must apply separately to national HIMSS, indicating that you wish take the exam sponsored by the VA HIMSS Chapter. Please note that we are unable to offer the computer-based version of the exam this year. AMP is unavailable, so a 'paper & pencil' version of the exam will be offered. You will be notified of your score at a later date.
The Review Course fee is currently $200 for HIMSS members and $250 for non-members. You may register on-line through the HIMSS Virginia Chapter web site, www.vahimss.org. This will be an all-day session, including a boxed lunch. Please indicate your intention to also take the exam when you register, if applicable, as well as contacting HIMSS. The exam fee is $275 for HIMSS members and $345 for non-HIMSS members, which is payable directly to HIMSS. The deadline to apply for the exam is October 10, 2007
Additional information about the CPHIMS credential is available on the HIMSS web site at http://www.himss.org/ASP/certification_cphims.asp.
Of course, we hope you will stay for the balance of the week with us - and attend our Conference, as well.
Please contact me at hvolger@atlanticgeneral.org with any questions.
Thank you - and we look forward to seeing you in October!
